On 5 May 2026, the ECOFLOURISH project was presented in Vilnius, Lithuania, during the international event “Bridging Innovation Across Agriculture, Forestry, and Energy Fields”. The event brought together policymakers, researchers, industry representatives and innovation actors to discuss practical approaches for climate-neutral and resilient land-use systems, with particular attention to cooperation between agriculture, forestry and energy sectors.
Dr. Audrone Ispiryan, ECOFLOURISH coordinator, participated in the panel discussion “Enabling Cross-Sector Synergies: Policy Approaches to Agriculture–Forestry–Energy Integration” and delivered the presentation “Agroecological Orchard Systems Integrating Biodiversity, Sustainability, and Socio-Economic Value.” The presentation introduced the ECOFLOURISH approach and highlighted how agroecological orchard systems can combine biodiversity enhancement, sustainable production, digital monitoring and socio-economic value creation.
The event also provided an opportunity for wider exchange within the ECOFLOURISH consortium. Project partners from Romania, Cyprus and France joined and participated in the event, contributing to discussions and strengthening collaboration around agroecological solutions, Living Labs and sustainable farming systems. Romanian partner Dr. Alina Butu also contributed to the programme with a presentation on cross-sector solutions for climate-neutral land-use systems and moderated the policy panel.
Participation in the Vilnius event helped increase the visibility of ECOFLOURISH beyond the project consortium and created opportunities to connect its work with broader European initiatives in agroecology, biodiversity, climate action and sustainable land management.
