Poland Living Lab: Climate Resilience & Precision Agrotechnics
Regional Overview
Key Challenge
Led by FreshMazovia Consulting, the Polish Living Lab is situated in the heart of the Mazovia region—one of the most productive horticultural areas in Europe.
Farmers in this region face increasing unpredictable rainfall and climate shifts. Our goal is to provide them with the digital tools and agroecological practices needed to maintain stable yields while reducing environmental impact.
Water Management
Soil Health & Fertility
Sustainable Value Chains
Testing smart irrigation and mulching techniques to keep soil moist during dry spells and manage heavy rainfall variability.
Implementing on-farm trials for composting and organic soil amendments specifically tailored to the sandy-loam soils of Central Poland.
Helping Polish growers transition to organic and low-input systems that meet the high standards of international "Green" markets.

We use drones equipped with multispectral cameras to calculate NDVI (Vegetation Index). This allows our researchers and farmers to see "stress" in the plants before it’s visible to the human eye.
Digital Decision Support
Integrating this drone data into a central dashboard to help farmers make faster, more accurate decisions about fertilization and pest control.
FreshMazovia Consulting
Regional Networks
Experts in agrotechnics, food quality systems, and sustainable fruit production. They bridge the gap between scientific research and the business of farming.
The lab works closely with the Association of Polish Organic Food Producers (Polska Ekologia) and the SAD-POL producer group to ensure our findings reach thousands of local growers.
